See my tour of the Pinckney Recreation Area including my first ever 10+ Pound Bass!
Michigan is a beautiful state. No doubt we are suffering a bad recession, but if you are looking for an awesome place to visit you cannot beat the fishery or the price! See pictures of my recent tour of the Pinckney State Recreation Area (map). I had time to stop by just eight lakes and there are plenty more! For the freshwater angler, it's the best value in North America bar none. Click here for the pictures.

About This Site — this is a free site dedicated to the sport of fresh water fishing. I began fishing in the late 1970's, mostly salt water surf fishing for Striped Bass, Flounder and Bluefish along the New Jersey shore. After a move to the beautiful state of Michigan and several years of stress in the corporate workforce, I rediscovered my long forgotten passion — this time in the fresh water streams and lakes throughout Midwest North America.
I am NOT a pro, not even close! Instead, I created this site to highlight the beauty of the sport of fishing and the importance of wildlife conservation. Hopefully, this site can also provide just enough information to help the everyday, weekend angler enjoy the sport a little more. Please enjoy and as always, I look forward to your feedback!
